Girl Nursery Decor: Gray and Pink

The Baby'southward Room is finally done! Information technology has been a long time coming since Camilla is just over 2 months quondam. My inspiration started with the pink and gray bunny canvass from Crate & Barrel's The State of Nod. I then ordered paint baby safe paint from Lullaby Paints in Cotton Candy and Slate for the Chalkboard Wall.
Cotton Candy is a very subtle pink that well-nigh looks white next to the slate chalk board. I adopt this to an intrusive pink colour. I left the vibrant pinks for the accessories like pall, the painted letters, and the carpet. I chose not to become super matchy-matchy in the chamber as I am certain that at least 1 or more items in the room will exist lost to a mess at some point. Such is life with babies!
I just love how the Cotton Processed and Slate color complement each other. Information technology is my favorite nursery combination. I am not even a huge pink fan, only somehow the nighttime greyness color makes it work for me. Pink is the only color that actually says girl to me. Information technology definitely cannot be mistaken for a infant male child's nursery.
The Lullaby paint was remarkably easy to apply with the pouches rather than paint cans. We used a little more than on the chalkboard wall because we were going from a calorie-free colored wall to a night one and you have to put on a few coats. I honey having a chalkboard wall to write on! I am sure that Camilla will love it once she is one-time enough to write. I recently wrote a to practise list on the chalk lath wall. I am in there so much that it was the all-time place for it.
We institute a very neutral and high-rated nursery furniture past Westwood Design from Amazon.com. It is gender neutral, but the main reason why I chose it was considering it would abound with my daughter. It starts as a crib, becomes a toddler bed, and the finally becomes a full size bed for when she is older. I plant an amazingly comfortable rocking chair at West Elm. It is the perfect combination of comfort and style. This was a serious splurge, only I figure that I can use it in the living room when the infant gets older. The pink red china balls were from the baby shower. I saved them! I found the pink polka dot pall on Overstock.com. They are very Minnie Mouse, but the baby loves staring at them. I might not take gone this pink if I had purchased them in person, just I think they work in the room.
My best advice for putting together a nursery is not to limit yourself to one brand or even one shop. Explore and make the room your own.
The wall switch cover is from Lowe's. I love the silver wait! Eventually, I would love to become new covers for all the outlets. Until then, this little added bling on the lite switch makes the room feel very customized. The side table is planter tabular array that is meant to exist outdoors that I plant at Dwelling house Goods for $12.99. It is high enough and modest enough to fit in my little rocking nook.
I found a few things at Target too including the grey stick lamp, the hot pink shag carpet, the hot pink clock, and the hot pink power strip.I went a piffling crazy on the hot pink. The hooks are kitschy giant paperclips from The Land of Nod. I endeavored to customize a lamp to wait similar to this one, except with bunnies, but failed horribly.
I was because buying messages from Pottery Barn, but they are just fashion as well much coin. Even with the souvenir card that I had. I purchased unfinished wood ones from Joann fabrics and customized them myself. Cheque out the DIY plant nursery letter project. I mixed some of the left over paint from Lullaby Paint to make a unique color that would stand out confronting the Cotton wool Candy wall.
